Akin’s Path, Akin Ayodele’s Foundation, hosted the inaugural Celebrity Billiards Shoot-Out event at Knight Time Billiards at Seminole Paradise to benefit the foundation. The event raised more than $30,000 for the charity, which supports mentoring programs in South Florida.

The event teamed Dolphins players and alumni with fans in a competitive pool tournament. Several Dolphins players, including Channing Crowder, Joey Porter and Ronnie Brown, were on hand to support their teammate and the Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Miami. The atmosphere was intense inside Knight Time Billiards as the night culminated with Jason Allen’s team winning on a miraculous shot to knock in the eight ball.

Akin’s P.A.T.H., which stands for “Providing Acceptance, Teamwork and Hope,” supports Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Miami and other mentoring programs in South Florida that directly impact the lives of at-risk youth.
